Can everyone stop getting injured...
Norwich City defender Timm Klose is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a knee injury sustained during last week’s Carabao Cup tie at Crawley Town.
The central defender was forced from the field of play in the 27th minute following a collision with an opposing player.
Subsequent scans have since revealed significant damage to the posterior cruciate ligament in Klose’s right knee, with further specialist consultations ongoing.
“It’s a tough time for Timm and our thoughts are with him,” Head Coach Daniel Farke told canaries.co.uk. “The nature of the injury means it isn’t a straightforward process, but he’s in the care of the best possible people.
“We know the type of person Timm is. He’ll work at his very best to come back from this setback and he will of course have our full support during this time.”
Meanwhile the Club’s medical team are continuing to assess a foot ligament injury sustained by Christoph Zimmerman during the weekend’s Premier League game at West Ham United. The defender was forced off following a late challenge from Hammers striker Sebastien Haller during the first half.
Tom Trybull is also set to be out of action for approximately six weeks with an ankle ligament injury which was also sustained during the game at the London Stadium.
Farke continued: “Yes, of course it is a blow for us and the players, but these are some of the challenges we have to face right now.”
