I agree with your point but......

As with recent cases of Carl Beech and the Cliff Richard thing its possible things might not be what they seem.

IMHO when celebrity's are involved the likelihood of someone mis-reporting the truth goes up.

Not saying he is innocent just that its worth bearing in mind.
