I have defended May in the past and to be honest I think her "deal" is not a bad effort at

reconciling all the different factions in very difficult circumstances. There are people in that parliament who won;t vote for that deal even if they basically have no objection to its content just because its her deal and not their deal or their party's deal.

BUT I have to say in the last 24 hours I am at a loss as to what she is trying to do and the whole thing does seem to be descending into complete farce. Makes you wonder whether she's had enough and is just looking for an excuse to quit and hand it all over to someone else so they can start again.
