The seven-year-old is banned on account of it being 12-rated.

Although, that's done with absolutely no knowledge of the actual thing, just on the basis of the age rating. We do let him watch some 12 rated films though, depending on language, violence etc, so I'm considering relenting. Does it really deserve the age rating?
