This process has shown the issues with our elected representatives. Even at this stage so

many of them still don't understand what they are voting on, or the process.

Parliament is so mired in party lines, playing to the gallery and 'looking strong' that the majority of them (on all sides) have forgotten how to debate and compromise.

May had the opportunity to reach out when she won the leadership election, but the press would never have allowed her to do that, so she played to the Brexit base instead.

They are all complicit in this mess.
