I find this behaviour very odd, its bad enough for iphones and the like, but teddy bears?
Who queues for hours?
Surely you see the queue, tell your child they'll have to wait too long and go home? Tantrum or not (and at least one of mine would probably have an epic).
Amazing this is all the companys fault and not a single adult is questioning the decision of other adults to queue for hours for a cheap teddy bear!!
