I suppose it does depend on definition of lost doesn't it?

Hard to say we 'lost' Afghan from a purely military point of view I guess, couldn't really call it a win with current situation either though. Is that more Political than Military though?

Make a case for having lost WW2 though when considered as the British Army, the Allies won, that military victory couldn't have happened with British forces alone.
