He's behind a s**t load of expensive players at Boro. Friend, Fabio I think Stuart Downing has played as an attacking wing back.

Boro will be cutting their cloth according to their much reduced budget too, and may not be able to shift players. If getting rid of a 2nd/3rd choice full back makes sense, even if he's rated and they like him, they may need to do it.

So yes, its not like we're signing Stuart Pearce in his pomp. But bit harsh to assume he's going to be turd.
