how small? TSB Current account is 3% for up to £1.5k
if married get one for your wife, that'll lock up £3k
set up a couple of direct debits to get £5 pcm extra. - that's effectively an extra 4% just for a small amount of work.
just re-cycle the money from account to account to trigger the 'pay in £500 pcm' requirement
Not sure there are any better ways of getting 7% on £1500 (or £3000).
