Agree with the comment about intel stopping many other attacks, there is a sense this

morning that this is the one that slipped through the net (but which was probably inevitable at some point).

My impression is that MI5, GCHQ etc learnt a hell of a lot following 7/7 and I hope to god that they do so equally following this.

Notwithstanding this, absolutely horrible event and thoughts are of course with all those affected.
