A friend has been producing a documentary for EPL beoadcasts in the States and his impression was that Troy Deeney was basically in a role that went beyond captaincy.

Will be interesting to see how it goes when Deeney eventually leaves.

Without a 'leader' like him (very charismatic, players run through brick walls for him etc) I wonder whether their model would work as well.
