The 'Windows of the World Restaurent' at the top of the world trade centre, nyc

One year to the month before the attacks. Will never forget all the original Picassos on the wall in the dimly lit atmospheric ambeance..... the wine list was as think as the yellow pages and on expressing that the seperate wine waiter explained the restaurent had the largest wine cellorvin new york. Made me laugh as we were something like 140 floors up or whatever. Remember eating at dusk watching helicopters below us flying round the statuecof liberty.....

I had steak - blue, with salad, followed by a modern take on baked apple..... the wine was a chilean red - one of the cheapest at $100 a bottle....

A year later during/after the attacks, i remembered the faces and small talk with the everso pleasant and welcoming staff...... i always wondered if any of them got out or who was caught up in it.
