Why would anyone bother with a birthday not in June?
It's perfect.
Presents, wait six months, more presents, wait six months, more presents...
The weather is lovely and the nights are long. (Also crispy your mates are around to go to your party - not off on their own holidays).
Even the Queen pretends her birthday is in June.
