When I picked up the hire car the lady asked me if I wanted excess insurance cover at 31 Euro per day? Err, no thanks I'm OK. She looks up all shocked and gave me the SP for the excess damage or the ridiculous amount due if the vehicle was thefted off of me. Nope, I'm ok, thanks. I can check the system see if I can get a discount *drums fingers* oh yes I can reduce it to 24 euro a day, "umm no thanks". Oh, she says, you are paying by Visa we can get that down to 17 Euro a day for you today. "I'm fine honestly" now the entire desk are looking at me like "do you know what utter chaos is waiting for you on the coastal roads you f**king lunatic, pay the over inflate rip-off fee for the love of God!?"

and I'm thinking "that £12.50 all inclusive excess insurance cover I took out in the UK for this trip sure was a top bargain"
