I use marvellous in a non-ironic way. I love it. You can really exaggerate your expression

when you say it. It's marvellous!

Anyone know the book The Demon Headmaster? It's probably 30 years old now but I've been reading it to my class. The headmaster in the story hypnotises the children to say, 'The headmaster is a marvellous man and this is the best school I've ever been to' so it's become a word we like using in class. (And we are a very cool hip class!)
