have often been rather fortunate. We got Francis because WBA outbid us for O'Connor (who Worthy REALLY wanted). We got Crouch & Hucks only because we had money left thanks to luckily being outbid for Worthy's main targets (the likes of Gareth Taylor and, erm, Alan Lee). And our (too) late revival last year came when he stuck in Safri, Helveg and co more (it seems) to stop them claiming they hadn't had a chance than because he actually thought they were likely to do a better job than Holt et al.
