"meekly going along with something" FFS

Going along with what?

I've been going to watch City for well over 40 years and the club is not doing anything differently now than it has done for ALL of that time. Sure, sometimes it works on the pitch and sometimes it doesn't. That's football. You can do the same thing and get totally different results depending on a whole variety of factors.

So if I have followed the club for that long why would I stop now? If the owners were taking money out of the club for their own purposes (like, say, the Oystons at Blackpool or even Kroenke at Arsenal) I could understand gripes. But that isn't the case. All the money the club generates is being invested back in the club. If you are going to stop following the club because they don't win all the time maybe sport isn't for you at all (or stick to supporting Bayern or Barcelona or someone where success is almost guaranteed).

The biggest joke is moaning about the club's PR - in this respect we do nothing any different from any other football club or business in existence. That's what PR is. You aren't going to get clubs/businesses doing themselves down in public.
