Wes, the Weslington, the Wesmeister

I've posted similar to this before so apologies for the WW2 but I think its worth repeating.

2015/2016

Wes Starting: P22 W6 D6 L10 Points 24 PPG 1.09
Wes not starting P12 W2 D1 L9 Points 7 PPG 0.58

2014/2015

Wes starting: P28 W17 D6 L5 Points 57 PPG 2.03
Wes not starting: P19 W7 D5 L7 PPG 1.37
NB (Excludes playoffs where he did not start in the away draw. he started in both wins.)

2013/2014

Wes Starting: P10 W2 D3 L5 Points 9 PPG 0.9
Wes not starting P28 W6 D5 L17 Points 23 PPG 0.82

2012/2013

Wes Starting: P28 W9 D10 L9 Points 37 PPG 1.32
Wes not starting P10 W1 D4 L5 Points 5 PPG 0.5

Last 4 seasons:

Wes Starting: P88 W34 D25 L29 Points 127 PPG 1.44
Wes not starting: P69 W16 D15 L38 Points 63 PPG 0.91

Aside from the Hughton season where the improvement was marginal but he played very little (and i would hope we would all agree that the way we played was not really ideal for him) then we have (over more than 150 games) averaged 0.5 points per game more with him starting matches than we have when he has not. Over 38 games that would equate to 19 extra points.

Leaving aside the stats i also believe that the whole team generally plays better when he plays, especially at home. I can see the rationale for perhaps not playing him against a bunch of cloggers like West Brom but at home he should be starting every game and for the rest of the season he should be starting every game.
