I don't buy the lazy narrative that the UK votes from the centre so you need to occupy the centre ground to win. Indeed it's precisely that lazy thinking which has resulted in the detachment of vast swathes of the electorate from the normal political process - witness the rise of UKIP as one exemplar. I don't agree with Corbyn in a number of areas - notably defence and energy - but I think his election will re-invigorate our politics and be inclusive of many cohorts of people hitherto effectively disenfranchised from any political process. So I think it's a Really, Really Good Thing.
