Speaking to the BBC News Channel, Mr Shapps strongly rejected the allegations and said "nobody has ever been authorised to make such changes".

Thoroughly sick of the general election coverage. Petty point scoring, squabbling, negative posturing... Every single party giving me reasons why I shouldn't vote for them.

This country has real problems which will never be addressed while vainglorious, self-serving, self-obsessed people are left to run the country. That won't happen through evolution, and the problem is British people haven't got the appetite for revolution. And so the status quo remains.
