I suspect you will find many, many, many countries in the developed world who treat their poorest citizens an awful lot worse.

Not quite sure what this has to do with the original point though about tax avoidance. It's not like the Tories are in favour of or are promoting tax avoidance, indeed Hmrc have been clamping down on it. This story is about Miliband trying to score cheap political points through hypocrisy.
