He's asked the CCRC to review his case. It's an entirely different thing. The Court of Appeal has already dismissed his appeal once.

FWIW less than 3% of applications for a CCRC review have ended up with the conviction being referred to the Court of Appeal, and only 2% are actually successfully overturned.

This whole CCRC thing is an excellent spin exercise by his PR machine.
