I think most English people would want to keep the UK

as it is but if they do decide to cut the cord, I hope we really do cut it properly and that they must pay their way without support from the English taxpayers. Reading about it at the weekend, the finances simply don't add up in the Scottish parliament being able to afford everything it wants too, particularly if they haemorrhage businesses and jobs to the south.
