The Ukrainian Army have the 'Buk' system too and the crash site is.....
nearly 50kms from the Russian border, so unlikely to be the Russians themselves, especially after the new sanctions yesterday.
Three likely scenarios:
1. Ukrainian Army cock-up
2. Rebels using system captured from Ukrainian Army
3. Rebels using system supplied by Russia.
These long range systems need radar guidance, so the Yank satellites should be able to tell where it came from.
All begs one question; if this is a known combat zone, why are large civil airliners still overflying the area?
