Experience

As I recall, the plan was to get an experienced Director on the Football Board to provide a link with the main Board but also to allow Neil to concentrate on the First Team, match-day preparation etc. Joe ticked those boxes and I was happy with that. But what concerns me now is that in his Everton TV interview was that he'd been talking to Everton about a role since January. Did we do any proper due-dilligence, and talk directly to him about his plans and commitment? Seems not.

No hard feelings to Joe. We know he's an Evertonian. But it seems that this appointment could have been handled better. And, we now still need someone who's got some Premiership / Championship experience to advise and help Neil out. So to the Board and McNally, get on with it.
