You have no idea who else was in the frame, what their demands were etc etc etc. So Swansea went with Gary Monk and stayed up so how do their fans feel now about appointing within. What about Brian McDermott at Reading a few seasons ago? He got Reading promoted. Sean Dyche, would you've been happy with his appointment if you'd have been a Burnley fan? You're all so bloody certain all the time that's what amazes me! Give the Club and especially NA a break and let him see what he can do. This is how Brendan Rodgers started and he's turned out to be pretty decent. It would've been different if there really WAS an outstanding candidate but there wasn't. Malky, much to prove. Lennon, no record except in a League where Celtics money can buy it every year. Zola? Oh! please where's his track record of success. I remember much the same on here when Lambert was appointed and now you'd all have him back in a heartbeat.
