Spot the difference

Ron Saunders, John Bond, Ken Brown, Nigel Worthington, Paul Lambert had never won promotion from the second division when they were appointed. They are the only NCFC managers to win promotion from the second division. Only Saunders had even managed in the division before appointment.

Malky MacKay has won promotion from the second division. I don't see that as a persuasive argument in his favour.
