Also it's not the CPS's job to decide if someone is guilty or not, that's the job of the jury, and given that they were deliberating for 4 days before being asked to come to a majority verdict, and even then couldn't for 2 of the charges suggests that it was less than clear cut that there was no wrong doing on the part of DLT.

So overall, it sounds like the CPS were doing exactly what they should be doing.
