I think Wes has become less and less influential over the past two seasons...

it is so difficult to accommodate him too in anything other than the diamond formation and we have moved on from that.

Get in an upgrade and let him go... even to villa. I can't see that he will be so influential on the pitch. Lambert needs a few old heads on his side in the dressing room I feel.

Even Redmond or Pilks could play the withdrawn role and be just as effective as he has been. They probably would have scored a few of the chances he has missed too.
