We topped our group and qualified for the World Cup

Since the last World Cup we have played 22 competitive fixtures and our only defeat was on penalties to an Italian team that then turfed out the Germans.

Rooney is playing better for England than at any time in the last 10 years and while we clearly aren't anywhere near as good as Brazil/Germany/Spain, we do actually have a well-balanced, improving side which is giving talented young players a chance.

I couldn't give a flying f**k about whether a Norwich player is picked or not. as long as good Norwich players are picked for Norwich and good England players are picked for England then that's ok by me.
