"The club I support, Norwich City, have permanent miserablists who carp and cavil..."

"... no matter what is happening. They were whining even during the three-year romp under Paul Lambert which carried the club 56 places up the football pyramid."

And therein lies the problem I have with some aspects of this debate. How many supporters were persistently complaining under Lambert? How representative is this? How worthy of comment or publicity?

Discuss a topic on twitter and all answers/opinions/wishes/worries will be there. Any topic. The media works like this. Take an opinion and print it because it exists and it becomes an established view - one side of an argument... even if it is two or three per cent of the opinions.

And so Dennis makes apoint of suggesting that we are riven with miserabilists, just to 'prove' the point he is trying to make.

Over 40 posters took part in Tricky's survey yesterday - not one said Hughton should be sacked now.
