Is Moyes an almost impossible act to follow? Yes. Is Lambert now onto a good thing after spending his first year shovelling through the s**t with a view to the long term? Yes.

Give it 2 years - maybe even 1 year - and Villa could be above Everton. Their wage bill was higher for 2011/2 too. Who's going to Everton? Martinez, even if Wigan go down.
