This situation was totally avoidable
with a bit more attacking intent against e.g Wigan away, Newcastle home, etc. So many home games, even going right back to the start of the season, where we have been the better side but failed to get the win.
Planning to get enough points to stay up by getting one at a time is just ridiculous.
Don't forget he was telling the players to get back and settle for a point in the Everton home game so if he had his way we would be two points worse off.
