I wish you all the luck in setting this up BUT

every internet forum I've ever encountered ends up with people arguing and basically becoming like this one. If the former posters wish to have a new site to post on, with "banter" and non stop friendliness, they could set one up with an invite only system, that way they can all talk amongst themselves with chosen online/offline friends.

But to believe a new website open to all would be any different, is deluded in my opinion.
