I can't see why he'd join Everton or Villa
Neither have any money; both have massively higher expectations than we do; both are faced by an impenetrable glass ceiling, meaning 7th is as good as it gets; and at Everton, Moyes will be an impossible act to follow for anyone.
I've been worried by his demeanour too. But he's so shrewd, he'll use how in demand he palpably must be to extract the improvements in the squad he needs. As long as we back him, he'll stay; just like his mentor MON at various clubs down the years (MON, who once turned down Forest, newly relegated from the Prem, to stay at Wycombe, newly promoted to the Football League), he'll only leave us when he knows he can't take us any further.
What does that mean? Think what O'Neill did at Leicester; transpose that onto us. His next move will be to a Dortmund, a Bayern Munich or even a Man Utd; why would someone with his ambition leave such a good thing he's got here for a club which can't meet his eventual ambitions at all?
