The perils of being live on the Scrimmage

The first time I was on live there was me, Chris, Matt Gudgen and Gemma who came up to Norwich sat in the studio to watch. She said a couple of words at the end of the show.

It was just before Christmas 2007, the Rodent had just been appointed manager and there was a pre-recorded interview with him talking about being abused at football matches, especially with regard to the when he collapsed at West Ham and he had to have an operation on his brain.

We nearly did have a live disaster on the show as Gemma was fascinated by the water fountain in the studio, drank too four cups and then was busting for the loo midway through the show.

She knew she shouldn?t talk and held up a big A4 sheet of paper which said ?I NEED TO GO THE TOILET?. The producer saw the note through the glass window and let her in and out of the studio very quietly.
