Whether I like you or not is not really the issue

You have played an equal role in this board?s very worst moments over a remarkably long period of time. Putting to one side the quite horrible things you?ve said every now and then, you have filled this board month after month after month with rows, squabbles, gay-offs and disputes. It?s utterly tiresome and I challenge you because I find what you say and how you say it truly tiresome.

However, that is not to say that others do not share an equal amount of blame and that is not to say that I shouldn?t have bitten my tongue with you in the past. But it has now got to the stage where you expect to be allowed to say absolutely whatever you like without a single murmur of disapproval or disagreement and that actually does you a great disservice. Any dissenting voice is now a bully.

You need to separate the gentle ribbing of your more forceful assertions and the every day discourse of a vibrant messageboard from the examples where you are just being picked on repeatedly. People really aren?t out to get you but the way you just lay in to people ? eg Tricky the other day ? is really not good.

As I said yesterday, there was a time (as personified in my row with DoY) where I was utterly determined to be right and be seen to be right. But I realised that was counterproductive and it painted me as a boorish fool. DoY used a very cute phrase: ?we learnt how to use the internet?. I?m afraid that it still feels like you haven?t learnt how to use the internet.

You?re clearly, absolutely, not a bad person ? that goes without saying. But you are certainly the most cussed, frustrating son of a b***h and if you could roll with the more gentle blows a little easier you wouldn?t feel the need to keep announcing your (never quite fulfilled) departure.
