Other than Tierney I think the defence is quite short in PL quality.
De Laet makes a lot of mistakes, gets dropped. Martin comes in and starts making mistakes. Do we drop him? Barnett plays all the while and makes lots of mistakes. If he gets dropped, Whitbred probably comes in only to make similar mistakes. Naughton makes mistakes but can't be dropped because our only other RB is playing at CB. Think it's a case of riding this out until January and using the budget to bring in upgrades. Much like how Whitbred was brought to replace Doc and Barnett was signed to replace Nelson.
