Thing was, he had the "infinite patience" here, yet went for the eggs in one basket route

Because he did that, it meant no quality right back, it meant Louis Jean, J Colin, Carl Bobinson, Andy Hughes, P Thorne etc etc (which meant when he left, Grant was using Hughes as right back, which he wasn't bad at)

He could have waited till the summer, done some homework and signed 7 x 500k players, young ones maybe, built something

He bought Earnshaw instead :(
