Russell Martin
Cant believe we have won the last two games with him at centre back. It shows what a good player he is.
What I liked about him last night was was that he didnt do anything stupid. He kept with his man all night, put it out when it needed to be and kept it simple with short passes to Fox, Barnett or back to Ruddy most of the time.
As Lambert has said, Martin can be trusted to do a job. It was a no frills performance but I would prefer that to playing De Laet who is probably a better defender but as we know, is prone to 1 terrible mistake every game.
