easy! its because........

theres more chance of a keeper kicking the ball out from a goal kick, an attacking playing winning the ball with a header which loops over the back four, thus rendering the goal-hanger offside!

Theres far less chance a, the keeper will spoon it (ala leeds away league 1!), b, a defender will head it backwards towards his keeper.......
