But I think a draw was a fair result. We were all over them in the first half but completely lost that momentum in the second. Okay, the ref made an iffy decision but these things happen. You have to deal with the situation you're confronted with and sitting back like we did is always risky. Better teams would have destroyed us. I think fitness probably came into it, as well as questionable substitutions, but given the domination Stoke enjoyed afterwards, I think if I were a Stoke fan I'd have been disappointed to leave with nothing.

That said there were plenty of positives, particularly Bennett, Pilkington, BJ and SCM. The wing play was exhilarating and until the red card we looked comfortable in defence.
