He was a fanstastic player, the best midfielder in England for a while.

He still had a reputation, due to the McDonalds incident, but that had pretty much been glossed over-however, the nightclub thing and its aftermath saw him burn at his brightest for a while afterwards, then go backwards, he rejected a move to Liverpool during that time and was never the same player again.

He'll do a job for ITFC, no question. But he's seeing out his career now.
