Sunderland were promoted in 2007 and prior to this season finished 15th in 08, 16th in 09 and 13th last season.
Despite taking one point from 27 in the games immediately after Darren Bent left, they finished 10th this season; their highest league position in 10 years.
I think they're doing ok to be fair.
