Could have been interesting

At one time the FL were investigating Ray Ranson the then chairman of Coventry and a shareholder, now their football consultant because he also controls Sport Asset Capital a company that has made loans to Cardiff and allegedly has some control over their transfer dealings.

Had we not done the business at Fratton Park there was the potential for a man with influence at one club being financially advantaged through his dealings with another club, by his team losing.

Makes you think ? Well may be not, but it does show that these technical rules (such as third party ownership) are there for the reason of protecting the integrity of the game.
