why?

A Leeds fan said to me that the reason they are doing badly is so they miss out on the play-offs so he doesn't have to announce who owns what part of the club.

I was amazed by this comment as I know he's dodgy but what good is a team that always finishes 7th? And who would believe a chairman would have that kind of influence over the team?
