But since then, we've had the Avram Grant debacle where his job was being offered to Martin O'Neill before he'd even been sacked. The public way they handled that lead to O'Neill copping the hump and turning it down. I can't see Lambert going there after that. He'll want a team who'll at least show him a little loyalty.
