Our day

Drove up from Cornwall. Journey from hell. Crawled all the way round the M25. Then some clown let a horse loose on the A12. Made it with 20 minutes to spare and then scum police wouldn't let us in ground. They made no effort to clear the few scummers in the way for half an hour, but as soon as they did they seemed to melt away. So... missed the first goal.
Saw the rest of it. Fucking hell. Even managed to get a decent video of the last few minutes, 5th goal and post match.
After the game all very exciting. Tierney walked around waving 5 fingers in the air. Carlos Alberto looked like he might spontaneously combust Lambert walked over kept pointing at the players then walked off to leave them to accept the adulation. After about 5 minutes he came back to thank us on his own. Brilliant.
Leaving the ground was also ill-managed by the police again they didn't seem to want to handle a few dozen scummers.

Best match I've ever attended? Feels like it now.

Overall impression of the match - we simply wanted it so much more, we were faster braver and more skilful. I wouldn't give 15p for Wickham, looked like the poor man's Kris Renton to me.

Listening to the interviews it's so clear why the players perform like that for Lambert. It's his fierce loyalty to them, even after they have left - his wonderful treatment of Nels, and his praise of the Doc and Russell last night. We travel around the country and listen to the other local football shows and the managers are always slaughtering their own players because it's what the media want. Lambert knows who are important, it's his players and us. I f**king love him.
