Decent team performance today i thought, Holt is clearly going to get us 20+ goals this season, the man is a beast! I maintain Cureton should never be in a yellow shirt again. Askou is a liability at the back, but a demon to have in the box. Simon Lappin was our best player by a mile, just a shame he didn't score as i had a quid on him for first or last goal! Smith did what he had to very well, ditto for Hughes. Drury was decent, today but still don't fancy him as our permenant left back. Cody looked lacking in confidence massivly to me, i know Holt scored it, but any striker worth his salt would have taken that on and hammered it home himself. Glad McVeigh had a tidy game, don't feel Whaley offers a great deal. And as for our "creative" outlet Hoolahan, we managed to get 5 without you on the pitch, as far as i am concerned he can sod off to the Welsh.
Ultimately Wycombe are a poor side, but you can only beat what's in front of you. If Lambert can get us playing that way going forward and eradicate our ridiculous defensive mistakes we will be fine, but we do have some royal retards play at the back so that may be easier said than done...
