views on the game and other things....

Negatives...Askou is a strange one... Dcent in the air, But seems to lack a few principles as a defender, never let the ball bounce, and if you aint sure you can get to the ball never jump for it as the last man! Positionally he was poor at times too! Although he put in a couple of good blocks and one his share in the air! great head for his goal! Very Undecided on him on his whole round game. Hoolahan was terrible for his 15 minutes, How man times do you want to try beat your man before you put the ball in the box??? Not to mention losing the ball with poor dribbling and bad passes, head not in it today maybe? Spillane needs to learn to get tighter, was a yard off his man all game, and was obviously punished for it for their second... Ok positives.. Mcveigh was great, Behind nearly every good thing we done, some great passing, And few wayward passes but i'll forgive him as he hasn't played much footie recently, He was really up for a challenge and got stuck in well too! Simon lappin was immense, really good, passing and crossing was good, great left foot on him! dont mind losing hoolahoop if hes going to play like that! Smith has a great future, an all action midfield.. really got stuck in today and what a strike for his goal! Cureton played well too, linked up brilliantly and ran the ball well... clearly the second best striker at the club.. Holt is different class, loves a battle, great in the air and he can finish well too, We have finally replced iwan!!! Drury was great today, some great crisp tackles, his man never beat him all game, good to see him getting his level up slowly after a big lay off!... Lambert watch... Great to see him always coaching from the pitch and calling the players over to instruct them... and 4-2 up he was still looking to attack.. Big balls bringing adeyemi on to play with smith in the centre at that stage of the game... I'm encouraged by that starting 11.. But the centre backs were clearly the weak links today!.. that is all for now.
